In recent months, not a single advertisement of a furniture dealer on the desk where not cocky with a 0% financing was recruited flapped me.
This sales pitch is not new. For several years, furniture trading of buying furniture on credit lures. And in times of low interest rates even more.
At first glance appears as a 0% financing for the furniture buyer quite tempting: the kitchen, sleeping room or upholstered furniture shopping today and then charge in, for example, 36 or 48 comfortable monthly installments to pay. Why so access?
But what serious disadvantages has this kind of funding http://jeparainternational.com/ and what hidden dangers threaten, is unaware of the most furniture buyers. Show yourself unfortunately only on the closer look.
I would like to therefore the E-Mail message, the I by wife Sandra Berger (name changed) received, not included above:
Subject: funding case - furniture and money gone
I have read your book before buying furniture and could avoid this some bugs me – undermined without reading safety once again thank you so much!
I'm tapped but in a really nasty case. She would be snapped to, I had no furniture and would be got rid of all that money for that anyway!
It concerns not the furniture, but the financing of thereof in the strict sense also. In my case, there was just a financing scheme with 0% interest in the furniture store. Well, I was prepared to pay the full amount on delivery of the furniture out, wanted to but don't miss the interest benefit me (...). So I signed the credit contract.
The date for the delivery of the furniture should be in 2 months, the instalments should go a month later. What I did not know and only much later got out: the loan amount was the furniture store a month previously paid. Then there were further delays and the furniture were only another 2 months later delivered and installed.
What would have happened so if the furniture store had gone bankrupt in this period? The furniture would no longer have been delivered and the payment of the lending banks had gone in the insolvency assets (and therefore with almost certainly away), I would have but need to pay off the credit to the consumer bank! The same applies of course also for all other goods, be so financed, and not taken, see also the article in the Law Forum: credit payment prior to delivery.
"Hello Mrs Neubauer, thank you very much for your message."
A right of withdrawal and right of withdrawal when a furniture purchase does exist only in a few exceptional cases. The reason to have to get a cheaper deal, not count of course. Where were you there also?
And to prove that you have been misled by advertising or not received, what advertised - so is a violation of the merchant against the unfair competition act is - will succeed also hardly.
Blind faith, a hasty signature and subsequent buyer's remorse (contract cancellation) cost always learned the hard way. 25% of the purchase price in the furniture industry are common and completely legit.
You can be even more pleased that the furniture retailer gives you the opportunity, damages on your next furniture purchase to offset the 25% due to him. He could namely also your 1.800,00 euro from the safe, pull off its 25% compensation and then simply send you home with the remaining money.
